Save this reel! Here are some of the very important details that you need to know when it comes to your spousal application. Getting permanent residency for your spouse is easier than you think - but you need to follow the guidelines. #canadaimmigration #permanentresidency #immigratetocanada
Sponsoring your spouse while the two of you live in a different country is possible for Canadians. The application process is basically the same. The only difference is that you will have to make a plan for what to do when you come back to canada.IRCC will be interested to know where you plan to live, How you plan to earn your money and any other things that you can think of about settling your family back in Canada.
we handle spousal applications, all the time for people inside Canada, outside Canada, and even separated from one another by distance.#canadaimmigration
Today’s express entry draw is a hard blow for temporary residents who have been working in Canada for many years and striving for permanent residence.
The CRS scores that are in the high 500s are tipping Canada towards an elitist immigration system that forgets the hard work and sweat that many newcomers have contributed to this country. I ask the new Immigration minister to really think about this and to look at the whole picture.
I’ve said it before and I say it again: Canada needs immigration. But I don’t think we are heading in the right direction.
What do you think?

CEC draw today leaves everyone with their jaw on the floor. At this point the only advice that I can give everyone is to just hold on. If you are in Canada, make sure you’re taking advantage of any program you can to stay in Canada if permanent residence is your dream.
The new immigration minister will hopefully stabilize Immigration in one way or another, and we can start to expect more stabilized scores and permanent residence for those who have been waiting so long.

There are two ways to submit your spousal sponsorship for Canadian permanent residence for your spouse or common law partner. One is called the outland class or the family class and the other is called the inland class. The difference between these two types of applications. Lies in where your application is processed. Outland applications are processed outland that is to say in a different country, it could be your country of origin. It could be your country of residence, but it is not processed in Canada. Inland applications on the other hand are processed in Canada and your application never leaves Canada. This can be very beneficial for people who are out of status, and who need to remain in Canada to continue to be with their loved ones.
As of the making of this video, the outland class is processing significantly faster. I recommend that my clients apply outland to take advantage of the shorter processing time. One of the questions I am always asked. Is if I live in Canada, how can I apply outland? What applying for permanent residence? And when you’re ready to submit your application, it is at that time that the distinction is made. When your application is approved, you simply have to tell the Canadian government that you are in Canada, and they will lend you electronically.
There is one way to make sure your spousal application gets returned. And that’s to not have the documents on the document checklist. That checklist is your guide to making sure your applications gets past the first review and actually into processing. Canadian permanent residence is not easy but if you follow the principles and checklist it’s going to make it a lot further than if you don’t.
OUR EXPERT HOT TIP: Don’t just meet the bare minimum requirements. If you wish to make it past the completeness check and one of your documents is missing, make sure you have another to draw from to meet the minimum requirements.
Can I sponsor my common-law partner for permanent residency in Canada? 🇨🇦❤️ Yes, you can!
You don’t have to be legally married to apply for spousal sponsorship in Canada. If you and your partner have been living together for at least 12 consecutive months in a marriage-like relationship, you may be eligible under the common-law sponsorship category.
✅ Lived together for 1+ year
✅ Shared bills, lease, or mail
✅ Proof of genuine relationship
✅ Can apply from inside or outside Canada
This is one of the most misunderstood parts of the Canada immigration system—many couples don’t realize they qualify because they’re not legally married.
Whether you`re already in Canada or planning to reunite here, it’s important to understand what counts as common-law and what documents you’ll need to prove it.
Have you ever wondered:
