Arrival in Canada

Once you arrive in Canada, officials from Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) will receive you and request to see your travel and identification papers. CBSA officials are located strategically at border points and points of entry.

The officer may ask you a few questions so as to ensure that you meet the requirements needed to enter Canada.

Giving false, inaccurate or incomplete information may result in you being denied entry into Canada. If you are arriving for work, study or visit, you must also convince the officers that you intend to leave Canada when your stay comes to an end.

Children below the age of 18 must meet the entry requirements just as the adults. Children may be asked to provide additional documents and information depending on whether they are travelling alone or with a family member.

The officer will then stamp your passport to allow you into Canada. The officer is at liberty to extend or reduce your stay in the country as he or she sees fit. You can ask questions or seek further clarification from the officers on any matter regarding your stay in Canada.

Those who don’t obey the condition of their visa or eTA will be asked leave the country. Those expelled from the country have a right to challenge this decision before a panel of immigration officials.luminor due
