Plan beyond your next permit.
For many people in Nanaimo, immigration planning starts with a study program, a new job or a partner already in Canada. It helps to look ahead before a permit expires or your circumstances change. We can discuss how your immediate status needs fit with a longer-term goal, while keeping the requirements for each application clear.
Studying or finishing a program at VIU
Bring the name of your program, your institution, completion dates and immigration documents. We can assess questions about study permits and post-graduation options. The school’s international office is also a useful source of student support.
Working in Nanaimo or central Vancouver Island
We look at the actual position, employer, work location and your work history when discussing potential immigration routes. Living on Vancouver Island alone does not confirm eligibility for a provincial nomination.
Keeping family plans on track
If your partner or children are part of your plans, identify their current status and deadlines alongside your own. We can discuss family sponsorship or the separate temporary-residence questions that may need attention.

Questions from Nanaimo clients
How do consultations work?
Meet with Chris online or by phone, from wherever is convenient for you. Our consultations, application preparation and ongoing support are handled remotely.
Can you advise a VIU student about life after graduation?
Yes. We can assess your questions using your program, study history and status documents. Post-graduation work options have eligibility requirements, so we review your specific situation before recommending a route.
Does living in Nanaimo guarantee a better BC PNP outcome?
No. Your location is only one part of a potential assessment. Program requirements, your job and employer, other registration factors and invitation criteria may all matter. A calculator estimate is not an eligibility or invitation decision.
Can you help if I am still overseas?
Yes. We can meet online to discuss your plans for Nanaimo before you move. Have your education, work history and family circumstances available, along with any Canadian job offer or school documents.
What if my permit is close to expiring?
Include the exact expiry date when you contact us. We need to assess your current conditions and available options. Booking a call does not extend your status or authorize work or study.
